  • INSTRUCTION: Make sure the workpiece is firmly clamped (such as using a vise or fixture) to prevent it from sliding during drilling. Position the twist drill at 90° to the workpiece. For thick materials, drill in multiple passes to prevent overheating or breakage.
  • NOTE: When machining different materials, the spindle speed and feed rate vary. Generally, the harder the material, the lower the spindle speed and feed rate should be. Always use coolant in high-speed machining to protect carbide tools from heat-induced failure.
