BUMFUZZLE is the overwhelming mischief game of colour confusion. It was cleverly created to confuse even the smartest brain. Say the word or say the colour, but never say BUMFUZZLE! In this confusing game of quick thinking, you must keep your mind above yourself. How to play: shuffle the cards and spread them face down, equally between all players. The oldest player goes first, flips the card from the top of his pile without looking, and places it face up in the center of the table. This card determines what all players need to do then - say the colour of the word, read the word or stand up. Blue Background - Say the color of the word Green or Red Background - read the word BUT! Never say the word BUMFUZZLE! If you see BUMFUZZLE on a green or red background, just stand up. Quiet. The first player to react properly to the card then flips his top card over and places it face up on the stack in the middle of the table. The game continues, with all players racing to be the first to respond properly to the card in the game. When a player makes a mistake (and he will), they pick up all the cards from the center of the table. The losing player then continues the game by placing his top card face up in the middle. The first player to get rid of all his cards wins. Sounds easy? Bumfuzzle is based on a psychological phenomenon called the Stroop effect. Your brain may not behave the way you expect it to behave - leading to delayed reactions, complete confusion, general randomness, and a whole lot of head-turning fun.
