It is compatible with the Gigabit Ethernet and 1000BASE-T standards as specified in IEEE Std 802.3. This module is for transmission at 1.25Gbps over universal twisted pair (UTP) Category 5 cable. It supports Ethernet standards which make it ideally suited for 1000BASE-T data communications.
