This 16-port HBA card is compatible with LSI 9305-16i and uses the SAS3224 controller. It operates in HBA IT Mode (Non-RAID), presenting connected drives directly to the host for passthrough, JBOD, software RAID, ZFS, TrueNAS, unRAID, Proxmox, ESXi, and NAS storage applications. The card uses a PCIe 3.0 x8 host interface and provides four internal SFF-8643 connectors. It supports data transfer rates up to 12Gb/s for SAS drives or 6Gb/s for SATA drives. The package includes 1 HBA card and 4x SFF-8643 to 4x SFF-8482 SAS cables, supporting direct attachment of up to 16 SAS or SATA drives. The included cables support both SAS and SATA drives. This product is an HBA passthrough card, not a hardware RAID controller.
