Vixen style dovetail bar with Armored Strip for pre- 2008 Celestron 9.25" SCT's. Just like the regular version of our Vixen dovetail bar, but with the addition of a stainless steel armored strip. Many Vixen size saddles and/or accessories use a set screw to clamp the accessory in place on the dovetail bar. This mars the dovetail and pits the edge. This eventually leads to slop in the system as the set screw wanders in the various old grooves that have been cut into the dovetail. The Farpoint Armored Strip version of the dovetail bar eliminates this problem. The armored strip is not necessary if you use only Farpoint style saddles with a clamping bar (instead of a set screw). Farpoint's Dovetail Plate for the Celestron 9.25" SCT is compatible with "V" sized (Vixen) saddles and telescope mounts that use this size dovetail bar.
