The EMX CS-101 CarSense 101 is a vehicle motion detector that uses a buried sensing probe to detect moving vehicles and trigger gate operators, overhead doors, parking barriers, alarms, lights, or annunciators. It is commonly used for free-exit triggering, driveway safety zones, and security applications where motion-based detection is needed. The CS-101 features a wide input power range (9-41 VDC or 6-29 VAC), very low standby draw (2.5 mA max), and a DPDT relay output rated 1A at 24VDC/120VAC. Sensitivity and off-delay are adjustable from the front panel, with high-intensity LEDs for power and detection status. Important: CS-101 is not a presence detector (not intended for safety reversing loop style “presence” functions), it is designed to detect moving ferrous objects.
